Garrett Ronan is a successful multi – faceted hospitality industry professional with over 25 years of experience in the hotel and restaurant business.

Garrett has worked at all levels of the industry at various managerial and executive levels. These include: executive committee, GM, and strategic business development positions with some of the most celebrated brands in the industry such as The Waldorf Astoria, The Beverley Hilton, Boston Harbor Hotel, Principal Hotels, Swallow Hotels, Adare Manor, H Hotels and Movenpick Hotels.

Garrett was educated in Ireland and graduated with honors from the Shannon College of Hotel Management. Garrett left his native land shortly afterwards and gained global experience and insight within the hotel and restaurant business in Switzerland, the UK and the Caribbean in addition to over 14 years experience on both East and West coasts in the US.

Garrett travelled and worked for the next two decades honing his skills set and diversifying his professional perspective and knowledge which has enabled Garrett become accomplished in the following areas:

1. Hotel and Restaurant General and Operational Management. 2. Architectural and Interior Design. 3. Construction and Project Management. 4. Concept Creation, Brand Development and Expansion. 5. Management Contracts and Business Development. 6. Sales and Rev-max. 7. Food and Beverage Management. 8. Resource Management and Collective Bargaining Negotiations. 9. Marketing, PR, Reputation Management and Digital Media Initiatives. 10. Financial Management

Some of the more notable events he has managed or overseen over the years are The Golden Globes, UNGA, Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, POTUS visits for Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama, The Alfred E. Smith Dinner, World Economic Forum, the Milken Institute’s Global Conference, The Clive Davis pre –Grammy Gala, DNC Governor’s Convention and The Boston Wine Festival. Garrett was recently appointed Vice President of Development & Operations of ZUMA USA to help develop their international portfolio in the US. ZUMA is a highly successful contemporary Japanese concept that is already renowned in London, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Miami with New York due to open in late 2014. Zuma offers a sophisticated fun approach to modern Japanese cuisine set in a vibrant environment that is inspired by the informal Izakaya tradition of dining.

Additionally Garrett has been involved over the years in many non-profit fundraising initiatives, most notably GOAL USA. In 2011 he was inducted into the Waldorf Astoria Executive Alumni and is currently head of the SCHM Alumni in the Tri-State area and has a certification from the court of sommeliers.
